Trees as symbols of countries, cultures

The national tree of Germany is, of course, the oak tree. „Die deutsche Eiche“ (the German Oak) stands for stability and reliability. There's no official German national flower, although the blue cornflower (with Prussian Blue the color of former Prussia) is often seen as such. What are the national flowers and trees in Germany?
Trees – a part of nature in almost all civilizations – have a cultural value and usually it is the representation of God's superiority, monotheism, peace, and love. In most human civilization, trees are the origin of humanity and human power.
